- reminiscent of a different time in a tarantino way ; cinematic and pop-dreamy...catchy melody
"Right Back to It" Tigers Blood -- Waxahatchee x MJ Lenderman (USA, 2024)
- strong & fresh melody ; singable
"Come Down to Us" Tunes 2011-2019 -- Burial (UK, 2019)
- really more like a mini album in one -- it's strange but pleasantly so ; the melody is recursive and beautiful and dreamy but with a steady strong pulse ; i love it
tbh i'm already doubting if listening to "music around the world" will be enjoyable/substantial/become anything because...i feel like the most consistently fruitful of my solo favorite-music-searching ventures is through pitchfork
many of my all-time favorite albums/tracks were discovered on pitchfork so...
and they don't really do world music
