i am in lala land

encouraged by megan boyle, who accepted my friend request on goodreads, i am attempting to add the whole gang now:

i just finished a book meant for teenage girls and it moved me to pieces

the main character shared my name and it engaged me very much

but the writing itself was good, it was philosophical and light. though no one would call it philosophical because it's targeted toward girls. but it is.

here is a question straight from the book, verbatim:

"how long does love have to last for it to be real?"

it's called the girl who invented romance by caroline b. cooney

check it out

also i'm feeling lonely lately

i think it has a lot to do with trying and failing to have enjoyable conversations with my friends. all they do is tell me how great i am, and that's so sweet, but i want to talk to them about ideas.

all they seem to hear are words and turns of phrases and they can't truly comprehend ideas. the words are just keywords to them that elicit within their cranium some sort of clichéd response which has nothing to do with the subject being discussed

i think they have less intelligence than ChatGPT, which has no intelligence.

at last I return to books.

Books books books.
I will rely on you
I can't ask much of my friends but I can read
