new (deep history) interests
i am interested in how things get invented and how they evolved (for ex: books! what did people used to write about? who read those books? how did books evolve from whatever that was to harry potter?); i'm interested in deep human history (how we became human; how we became hunter-gatherers and then farmers; when we invented the wheel and such things); i'm interested in alien landscapes like when the world was different and when it had different chemicals in the air and different animals
du coup, i'm interested in deep history
i started reading carl jung's memoir and it is even better than i thought. i realized that i don't really enjoy people's descriptions of the outside world because i have access to that same world, unless they're specifically describing things i really enjoy. but i like quirky inner worlds. carl is quirky. i love him.
what i really want to know is how language evolved from ape yelps to syntax and cases. nobody seems to have done any research on this. because there are no books about this.
